A Prayer for all of us

14 10 2010

I found this in a magazine and thought I had to share with you all.

“St Andrew, grant me the strength to keep from abusing my clubs, the courage to keep from lobbing my driver remorselessly down the fairway when I shank my drive; and the wisdom to know better than to pound my lob wedge into the green when I come up short.

Taking each shot to better my game; taking this unforgiving game as a challenge, not as a lesson in abject humiliation.

Trusting that you keep me from my urges if I surrender to your calm, that I may be reasonably satisfied with this game, knowing I always have the chance to be supremely happy with the next.”
