The Doctor asked me what I did yesterday?

I told him about my day:

“Well, yesterday afternoon, I waded across the edge of a deep lake, barely escaped from a wild pig in the heavy brush, marched along a treacherous trail up and down a mountain, stood in a patch of poison ivy, crawled out of quicksand, and barely escaped by jumping away from an aggressive brown snake.”
Inspired by my story, the Doctor said, “You must be an awesome outdoorsman!”
“No,” I replied, “I’m just a shitty golfer.”

Hi all

Its come up very (too) quickly and now its time.

Tomorrow I leave for Bad Griessbach Germany to do my written and practical exams for the C Trainer qualification. It consists of a written (2 parts) and practical (2 parts) examination over four days and I am frankly sh…… myself!

As I have never been a very good student please hold thumbs for me. Hopefully it all goes according to plan A!!!!

Time for a bit of fun during my PGA C Trainer course. Have met some really great people on my course and had to share a beer and supper with some of them. I invited the couple in the background to join our table as the restaurant was full and wish to say to both Carol and Alex that it was really great meeting you. See you in California one fine day.

Hi all
Had to laugh, otherwise I think I would have cried.
I had a pre test around 2 weeks ago, read the question, translated it and then did the exercise. I thought that I had done pretty well, however I translated incorrectly. F…! Thats Flip for all of you with minds in the gutter…
So back to the drawing board, 4 days of tests and practical examinations coming up first week of November….wish me luck please.

Hi all

I have now attended two seminars and will attend my next one this coming weekend at http://www.golfclub-hetzenhof.de/ and will stay at http://www.gasthofwaescherschloss.de/

There is quite a lot of work, I am taking a break from my studies to write this, but I am certain that it will not all be in vain. I have 3 years to go, whether I actually pass or fail is not relevant right now, the fact that I am doing it makes it worth while. I have learnt a massive amount about golf and a lot about people in the last 2 months, things that I thought I was beyond learning or experiencing at my tender age. Two of the guys I have met on the course and I have “clicked” and they have both been a lot of help. A big thank you from me to Karsten Wawronowitz and Erwin Pesch for their help with translation and for being on the same page as me!!!! They know what I mean.

For any of you that wish to do something like this (no matter how old!) I can only say that you should follow your dream. I honestly went through a stage where I had decided that I would not try this, mentally I was in the wrong place and had given up before I had even started. Looking at it now I am really glad that I made the jump.

Our course is currently aimed at junior and at group training and I have attached some photos below. This should also give you an idea of the cross section of ages and sexes that are taking part in the course. We even have our own Hoodie!!!!!
