It is exactly a year since we met – and I appreciate that I had the opportunity to follow your course of decision making – and I am convinced you made the right decision – congratulations! There is one sentence I always remember from my first golfing lesson: ‘Don’t stop half way – follow through…’ . So – follow your dream, follow your destiny – and follow through!

Mein Gott, man merkt daß Du ein “Golfverrückter” bist. Aber gerade das prädestiniert Dich
zu Deinem neuen Beruf. Ich habe schon bei unserem ersten gemeinsamen Spiel gemerkt,
welchen großen guten Einfluß du ausübst. Jedenfalls spiele ich mit Dir meistens viel besser.
Du bist der richtige Mann für den Beruf ! Ich hatte einen Freund, der hat auch sein Hobby
zum Beruf gemacht, mit großem Erfolg. (Pilot)

Many thanks for your kind comments and interest.

I will keep you posted and am currently trying to find a sensible way to publish my scores each time I play. I will back-date these to beginning November this year. It was then that I had a chat with the Swiss PGA CEO and he suggested that I would be a good candidate for teaching and should seriously consider doing the course. Support and inspiration has come from many quarters and now its time to make this come true.

I don’t know whether you are growing up, have grown up or are growing older. But ‘ours not to reason why’ go for it and the best of good luck to you!

1) You’ll have to work darn hard – but then you know that!

2) 24 over par – not exactly chicken’s feed!

3) a great opportunity

If you don’t mind, I’d like to give you a few points to think about on this journey – I didn’t say advice!!

Don’t be greedy, don’t take chances that aren’t necessary, don’t grab at things that aren’t yours yet -you’ll get them eventually, read a few good books (other than golf) to increase your motivation and desire to work (you will have a few ‘lows’ along the way) and be honest with yourself and others.

Though you might not agree, I know you rather well, Geoff and it would make me very happy indeed to see you accomplish your dream and be a success.

Would really like you to keep me posted – only when you have the time – and please remember two quotes – what the BIG GUYS say:
